Each January, I typically write myself a new resolution list -- with entries that I have every good intention of keeping, but almost never do (Exercise More! Learn Italian! Finish Painting Bathroom Ceiling!). This year, the list included "Start a Blog!"
I'm not entirely sure where this crazy idea came from, seeing as I am not a big believer in Facebook-slash-Twitter-slash-Whateverisnext, because -- does anyone really care that I ate an excellent turkey sandwich for lunch? But I recently reconnected with an old friend and mentioned what I've been up to for the past few years, and afterwards I realized how lucky I have been to travel to different countries, meet fascinating people from around the world and taste all sorts of amazing wine, and I wanted to share that with whomever would listen.
And so it begins...
